Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic is a branch of healthcare focused on diagnosing, treating, and preventing disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the effects these disorders may have on the nervous system and overall health. Dr. Jon and Dr. Seth focus on the highest quality chiropractic care and recognizes the importance of specific adjustments in both the spine and extremities. They implement modalities to address often overlooked soft tissue components of the injured tissue to provide quicker and more effective results.

Dry Needling

Dry Needling is a therapeutic technique used by healthcare professionals to relieve muscle pain and improve movement. It involves inserting thin, solid needles into specific trigger points or tight bands of muscle tissue (called myofascial trigger points) to release tension, decrease pain, and promote healing. Dry needling exerts several neurological effects that contribute to its pain-relieving and muscle-modulating outcomes. These effects occur at peripheral, spinal, and supraspinal (brain) levels.

Electrical Stimulation

Electric stimulation  is a therapeutic technique that uses mild electrical currents to stimulate muscles and nerves in order to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, promote healing, and reduce muscle tension.

Myofascial Decompression (Cupping)

MFD uses negative pressure (suction cups) to lift the skin and underlying fascia away from the muscles. This is the opposite of traditional massage, which pushes tissues downward. The suction is believed to improve blood flow, reduce muscle tension, and promote healing. Types include dry cupping, wet cupping (with controlled bleeding), and fire cupping.

ART (Active Release Technique)

Active Release Technique (ART) is a manual therapy method used by chiropractors to treat soft tissue problems involving muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves. It combines precisely targeted pressure with specific patient movements to break down scar tissue (adhesions), restore normal tissue texture, and improve flexibility and function. Common conditions treated include muscle tightness and stiffness, tendonitis, sciatica, shin splints, plantar fasciitis, neck pain, and low back pain.

Ultrasound

Therapeutic ultrasound is a non-invasive technique in which high-frequency sound waves are transmitted into the body’s tissues to generate deep heat, increase blood flow, reduce inflammation, relax muscles, and accelerate tissue repair.

KT Taping

Kinesio taping is a method of applying flexible, adhesive tape to the skin to provide support, stability, and pain relief for muscles and joints, enhance circulation, reduce inflammation, and promote the body’s natural healing processes while allowing full range of motion.

Functional Movement / Corrective Exercises

Functional movement is the performance of coordinated, multi-joint motions that allow a person to carry out daily activities, sports, or work tasks safely and efficiently, while maintaining proper alignment, balance, and mobility. Corrective exercises are targeted physical activities prescribed to strengthen weak muscles, stretch tight muscles, improve joint mobility, and retrain proper movement patterns, with the goal of restoring optimal body mechanics, reducing pain, and preventing future injuries.

Graston / IASTM

Graston Technique is a form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) in which specially designed stainless-steel tools are used to massage and scrape the skin over muscles, tendons, and ligaments to break down scar tissue, improve tissue mobility, reduce pain, and enhance healing.

Orthotics

Our orthotics are custom made by an amazing pedorthist to support the feet and correct biomechanical problems, which can alleviate pain and enhcnace mobility in the feet, ankles, knees, and hips, and back. They function by providing support, cushioning, and improving alignment to redistribute pressure and correct abnormal walking patterns.
